Back in Business!!

I’ve taken a short hiatus to persue some other avenues in my life but here I am back to my original passion…. Writing.  I have a serious love/hate relationship with reality t.v. shows so for now I’ll stick to that topic but I also want to add another blog to my blossoming writing collection.  All I need to do now is PICK A TOPIC!!  Some of the more conventional topics, love, money, politics, music, fashion, etc. have been grabbing my attention but I’m not sure exactly which route I am going to take. Just know that my reality t.v. blog is back in full effect and there will be other topics soon to follow.  Stay tuned.

Mob Wives: New Year same old drama!

Mob Wives is back for the second season and I couldn’t be more excited.  The girls are all up to the same ol’ hood-italiana drama and the only thing that could possibly make it better is if they actually committed crimes on camera. They have husbands in jail, they put money on commissary, they fight in the streets, it is juicy hood rattiness at its finest!

Renee is having full body surgery while A.J. is standing by hoping all goes well. She’s nervous as anyone should be during elective surgery. So long story short she tries to sit up in the hospital and tears a hole in her back through her stitches. Gross. What’s worse is once she heals her body looks no better than when she started.  She keeps claiming she has a flat stomach and a flat ass  now but I don’t know which stomach she’s looking at. This is the problem with plastic surgery and people who have mental or emotional problems.  She dumped her therapist and got a full body lift gone wrong which landed her right back on another therapists couch. Messy, just like we like it.

Karen bores me! I almost want to turn the t.v. off every time she’s on it. It was interesting at first, Sammy “the bull’s” daughter, coming out of witness protection etc. but ever since then she’s been hooked on this Drita and Lee thing.  She seriously needs to get over it.  Yea it was a shady situation but it happened 10 yrs ago.  Furthermore, we addressed this last season, I thought we were over it….. apparently not.  So last year’s fight spills over into this season and it’s almost annoying to watch. Until Drita opens her crazy ass mouth and all hell breaks loose.

Renee has a celebration of life party and everyone except Carla is in attendance. This is Karen and Drita’s first time being in a room together since they had a fight on the rooftop.  Drita is on the balcony telling Big Ange that she wants to talk it out with Karen and be friends. Karen agrees to come out to the balcony and have an amicable conversation that immediately goes awry. Karen uses her cousin to back her up almost like a bodyguard. She brought her to Renee’s party and she starts talking tough tone. She keeps saying things like “I’m coming for you” and “I want to come to your house” etc.  You can see the anger in Drita’s face when she mentioned coming to her house. Drita says, in the confessional, that she’d hit her in the throat with a wrench. I believe her.  She looks crazy.  So the conversation begins to bubble a little bit.  Both ladies seem a little on edge.  Ramona for some reason gets involved and the situation goes  from slow simmer to boiling point in 60 sec.  All I know is Drita started throwing hay makers and next thing I see looks like a giant mob of hair.  No faces, no fists nothing but hair flying around.  The funny part is when Ramona kept saying that a guy hit her in the face when really it was Drita.  If a bodyguard punched her and all she got was a little bloody lip, somebody needs a new bodyguard.  Ramona could have gotten that guy seriously hurt and plenty of other people in jail because she stirred a pot and ended up getting punched over it.

I’m so over this storyline! Nobody cares about Lee and Drita. Lose some weight, find a new boo and Karen trust me you wouldn’t care either.

Love & hip-ho: welcome to haterville!

Love & hip-hop is beginning to look like Jerry Springer. There are fights every episode! I’m not mad about it though fights on reality t.v. are gooooood! This episode had me so up and down and laughing and almost crying it was a rollercoaster of emotions.

Let’s begin with Chrissy and Jim’s engagement. As I’ve said before, Chrissy and Jim really love each other and it shows everytime they are together.   The engagement was very private and emotional and it only got better afterwards when he arranged for her family and friends to be there for the couple’s special moment.  Chrissy had the most wonderful things to say about her man and it was really beautiful to see her overwhelmed with emotion as she expressed her feelings.

Olivia on the other hand is not as capable of expressing her feelings which is a big problem for her career. EVERYONE has been saying this from day one and I didn’t get it until tonight.  She is shy.  She has this hard exterior but on the inside she’s very vunerable and she’s been through some things.  If she’d just close her eyes and not worry about what people think or how she looks and just does the “ugly cry” on stage, I mean just really reach down into her soul and let it out, then people would get it.  If she was singing bubble gum music then her attitude would work.  Rich is right in saying that she looks disconnected singing a painful song and smiling. I was watching and wanting to enjoy it but it felt like something was missing.  She says she gets it but I don’t think she does.  That said I’m still buying the album because she can sing and I like her. Rich should play some Mary J live in concert dvds for her so she can see how to connect her music to her story.

On a lighter note, three words, Kimbella! Who Cares?!? I was not at all moved by her scene with her mother, her conversation with Erica, or her existence on this show. GO AWAY! And take Yandy with you.  Yandy is so jealous of Chrissy it’s ridiculous! Everybody knows that girl from the hood who says “I love him like a brother” ……. yeah okay. I don’t know if Yandy and Jim ever hooked up but she definately likes him and I see a little something between her and Juelz as well.  Chrissy mentioned that Yandy sent an e-mail asking Jim why he was buying things for Chrissy. Why does Yandy care about that unless she’s jealous? Chrissy is right for running Yandy off. She is not trustworthy and extremely unprofessional! By the way what was that outfit? She should have done a sit-up or two before going out bare-midriff. Anyway we all know the story there was ALMOST a fight, Chrissy kicked Yandy and then waited for her outside while Yandy got ducked out the back door. Yandy made a comment about Chrissy having to sleep with a man to get her money and while I have no proof, something is telling me Yandy is living in a glass house.

 

Love & hip hop: Fairy Tales do come true!

Tonight begins with a meeting between Yandy and Erica. Yandy is not my favorite but I like what she said to Erica. Bottom line Erica and Yandy aren’t friends. Yandy took on Erica as a client. So everytime they are together it should be a professional environment. Yandy’s problem is she is messy. She acts like a boss but she doesn’t realize she works for her clients not the other way around. I said it last week and all the girls agreed with me. Yandy brings the drama with her wherever she goes. She is the common denominator. Unprofessional. You know you have a problem when Mama Jones needs to set you straight about professionalism. Yandy says everyone is getting in her way when it comes to taking care of business but it looks like she’s getting in her own way.

Kimbella talking about how mad she is that Erica brought up Juelz cheating is ridiculous.  The fact that what goes around comes around is lost on this girl.  If you sleep with somebody’s man do not be surprised if your man is sleeping with someone else. Speaking of Kimbella and Juelz, they are not affectionate or romantic in any way. They looked like they didn’t even know each other. It was Awkward!

Chrissy and Mama Jones continue their nice streak. Mama Jones cooked for her AND took her side against Yandy. The thing that Yandy doesn’t realize is that family has fights but when you get in the middle of a family issue, in the end, the family gets back together and ends up resenting the outsider. As a result Yandy quit. I wonder if that is permanent. Fingers crossed!

Now to my favorite part, the girls take a trip to Miami. It is as Chrissy said, gloomy, rainy, grey, just like she was feeling.  It’s funny how a man will sense you’ve had enough and suck you right back in!  The girls were talking about when is enough enough.  When do you throw in the towel? She’s been with him for 7 years. It has to be hard to love someone with all your heart, propose to him and then wait with baited breath for him to reciprocate. ANYway amid tears, in walks Jim to bring Chrissy out to the hallway and ultimately propose to her.  Two things about that. First, how cute is it that she was giving him a hard time all while he’s trying to propose then when he pulls the ring out she’s silent! Second, damn that ring was gorgeous. At first I’m thinking why isn’t he down on one knee but with a ring like that he doesn’t need to be.

Congrats to Chrissy and Jim it was so beautiful I even shed a tear….. just one…… don’t judge me!

One more week without Somaya Reece! WHO IS Somaya Reece anyway??

Love & Hip Hop: round 2

Kimbella…. WHat can I say? The broad rubs EVERYBODY the wrong way. Except apparently her laundry list of ex-hookups and her “pud” Yandy “checks” Smith. We met Erica Mena for the first time this episode and as they say first impressions are everything! Erica went in on Kimbella from the moment her face met the cameras. Stevie Wonder could see a cat fight in the near future, but somehow Yandy couldn’t.  Yandy doesn’t really like Kimbella.  I mean she acts like she does but then gives her horrible advice and puts her in a position to get beat-up every time she’s on camera.  When Chrissy beat-up Kimbella, Yandy knew Kim slept with Emily’s man and yet thought it was a good idea to bring Kim to Emily’s freedom party knowing full well Kim was going to disclose her indiscretion. Fast forward to Erica Mena, during lunch, Erica in detail expressed her dislike for Kimbella for getting in the way of her money.  If anyone knows how emotional people get over money it should be Yandy “checks” Smith. So what does Yandy do? Bring Erica and Kim together and then acts shocked when everything goes bananas.  Yandy is an instigator and I can’t wait for somebody to pull her card. Speaking of which rumor has it that in an upcoming episode Yandy and Chrissy end up throwing down…… we shall see.

Chrissy and Jim have worked their odd relationship into a small corner of my heart.  It’s cute that Chrissy proposed and she doesn’t let anyone talk reckless about her man.  People think she’s a jealous hater I think she’s a protective “mama bear” type. That being said it was nice to see Mama Jones and Chrissy make nice finally. I think Chrissy  should have participated in the “Psychotic Bitch” video because it would have been the best outcome.  The best way to get over a public controversy is to make fun of yourself and that was the perfect opportunity.  Hopefully Chrissy and Mama Jones can stay on this path for the sake of the man they both love.

Chrissy and Jim have been working together on Jim’s clothing line and Chrissy has been doing a great job.  People have been quoting her left and right on twitter for her line “People don’t give you what you deserve, you only get what you negotiate”, and she negotiated big time.  She deserves it though. People criticize her on the blogs for not getting her own money but here’s her chance and I’m glad she’s taking it. Word on the blogs is that Jim officially proposed to Chrissy and I think they alluded to a proposal in the next episode. Here’s hoping. Who doesn’t love a happy ending??

Speaking of happy endings, what is Emily thinking getting back with Fab? Olivia is right in saying that a true friend needs to get in her face and set her straight! C’mon Emily who does that? Don’t play yourself on national T.V. by having an entire celebration dedicated to the fact that it is over with this public cheater and emotional abuser and then running right back before the season is even over! I don’t like it. She has so much going for herself and she almost lost grasp of her future in fashion because of her involvement with Fab. I just hope she knows what she’s doing.

I know Olivia is hurting about her record deal and I get that. One thing about her is that she can sing. The thing is she & Rich are both trying hard and he wants to quit but he sees so much in her.  I think if they step back a little and just allow the world to fall in love with Olivia through the show, the sales will follow. Hey, you don’t see Jim Jones crying about his record sales & his 5th album CAPO was the lowest ranking on the billboards to date. Hang in there Olivia. I’m buying the new album as soon as it hits stores and I don’t even like R&B just please please please don’t make me sit through another scene of Rich Dolla boo hoo crying. I just can’t take it. Rihanna was right men are so ugly when they cry. Anyways the album drops in March 2012 and it may be her last chance.

Last but not least THANK GOD Somaya and her teeth were not in this episode. Can we have just one more week without her pleeeeeease?? Fingers crossed!

Real Child support court!: A-town Housewives edition

Sheree straps up for a long anticipated battle with her baby daddy “Bob” who I like to refer to as Frankenstien.  Can anybody pleeeeeaaaase explain to me why Sheree is so gun-shy about having Bob the Bum arrested? He hasn’t paid child support in 4 years and he even begged his daughter to pay for his groceries with her birthday money!! What does this man have to do? She just wants to keep asking him hoping he’ll do the right thing and in turn he takes HER to court. Sheree’s first instinct, when served papers stating that her finances will be audited, is to go out and buy a porsche! Who does that? How can you beg for money AND floss at the same time. While I agree he should have to pay his fair share, if he’s begging his child for groceries and she’s out buying new expensive cars, a judge is not likely going to be sympathetic. I was listening to Phaedra when she said that this is going to be a long process and Bob is going to be playing games, but I don’t think Sheree was listening. The first day, Bob pulls a stunt and Sheree flips out. She starts crying at lunch and feeling like Phaedra is incompetent. Even though Phaedra warned Sheree that this would happen.  If I was Sheree I would not have thought twice 3 1/2 years ago about taking Bob to court and getting the money her children deserved.

While Sweetie “the slave” was washing her master’s hair, I realized something! Kim is a liar. She said she paid $1000 per wig and she wears them for a day or a week or something ridiculous and then she throws them out. However Sweetie was hosing them down in the sink with some cheap Pantene Pro-v and olive oil. You ain’t gotta lie to kick it Kim! That was the full extent of her relevance this episode.  I am done with her. Dunzo! She needs to start a fight with someone or something interesting because this baby story is about as dull as her baby daddy. He needs to take some advice from Peter or Apollo about how to boost ratings.  Go on the radio and talk junk about Kim and her kids….. something!

Kandi Koated vibrators are really taking off! People are going crazy about her discreet adult toy line. She is a master at branding. I’m sure she is not as over sexed as she seems in real life but it is really working for her. She has the web-show and now the high-end sex toys, who knows what’s in-store for her. I’m excited.

T.I, Tiny, & White women…. O.M.G.!

I almost forgot about the O.M.G. girls but I guess the rest of the world didn’t. There were a lot of rumors about why Reginae (lil wayne’s daughter) is no longer in the group. Some people say they pulled her out because her grades were dropping, Some say it’s because Tiny & Toya fell out. Since everyone else is speculating I figured I’d give my opinion. Reginae didn’t want to be in the group. Although she’s cute and talented, she doesn’t fit in and she’s shy. I think the idea of T.I.’s daughter singing with lil wayne’s daughter rapping would have been a hit but even without “baby carter” the show apparently goes on and on the road it went. This was the first time the O.M.G. girls went on tour and it was very successful. The girls looked good with their signature multi-colored hair. They worked hard and it clearly paid off.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again, T.I and his relationship with his kids is something to be admired. Zonnique was tweeting and T.I. came in to moniter what she was doing and talk to her about what is appropriate behavior on the internet..”no tweefing”! (twitter-beefing) Then in another scene he was explaining to King that he is in fact a black man. To which King replied “can I still have a white woman?” King is so sexual for a young man. He likes playing booty tag and he wants to know what kind of woman he can “have”. As a mother of a curious little boy I can honestly say… I understand.

Speaking of white women, T.I. performed with Taylor Swift and tiny exclaimed she had to go because taylor swift is “so cool”. Who is she kidding? She had to go because Taylor Swift is a young beautiful white girl that begged T.I. to come perform with her and Tiny wanted to make sure things stayed professional.  We know girl! That being said, the two minutes of concert we saw was amazing. My booski in my mind Jay Jenkins (aka young Jeezy) made a backstage cameo. They couldn’t stop talking about how different hip-hop concerts are from Taylor Swft’s…… I can only imagine the things that go on backstage! Oh wait I don’t have to imagine. I read confessions of a Video Vixen.

Kourtney and Kim take New York….. alone

Kourtney and Kim move in together along with baby Mason, Kris, and Scott.  It’s a bad idea from the get go! First of all the Kardashians are maneaters. Kim, Kourtney and Kris (the mom) treat their men like fish on a leash. Khloe however clearly loves Lamarr. They have a good time together and she lets him boss up when he needs to. At the same time when she needs to put her foot down she does and he respects that.

 

Kourtney and Scott I don’t quite understand. Scott is a human parasite. He’s always talking about business deals but what is his business background? Apparently everyone was thinking the same thing because when I typed in “Scott Disick” on google, the next word that pops up is “job” & “occupation”. Kourtney to me was the cutest Kardashian but she’s starting to look old and tired. Probably because of Scott’s stupid antics. He spends tons of money, he’s openly jealous of the time she spends with Mason, he drinks too much, he’s PERFECT for reality t.v. and she would be a broke fool to leave him.

Kim and Kris seem so fake and awkward. Kris, who recently filed for an annulment claiming Kim staged a fraudulent marriage and sucked him into a crazy life, left the compound and moved to Minnesota. He claims it’s not Kim it’s the other people in the house but let’s be honest…. it’s Kim.  He came home to a naked man in the livingroom doing yoga with his penis in the girls’ faces. Any man I know would not be okay with that.  Kim asking Kris to possibly give up his career to film the show is ridiculous.

I miss Khloe on the show. People always make fun of her for being the biggest one but she is also the smartest one.  She and Lamarr have their own show in which Khloe is the star. No babies yet, but she’s pretending to try! Most importantly she stays with her man and submits to him when he needs it. She’s funny and obnoxious and she knows that Kim and Kris aren’t really good together. It’s obvious to me that Kim is Jealous of Khloe because in spite of looking better than Khloe, her life is not better. Khloe has everything Kim wants with half the beauty and twice the booty! (Not the good kind of booty, the slightly sloppy overweight kind)

So next episode Kris is back….. at least for another couple of weeks. Kim claims that we will see his abusive ways! Maybe next episode. Just keep in mind Kim and her mother have full editing control over the show.

 

T.I. & Tiny: Welcome Back!

First thing’s first how come Tiny can afford all kind of stuff except good hair.  I mean really! Maybe they just don’t have good hair in the ATL because Kim (real housewife of ATL) claims to pay $1000 per wig and she look a flaming hot mess! Quick question Tiny: What is cute about red hair? She bringing back the Charlie Baltimore. Make it stop.

I like T.I. and his relationship with the kids. He obviously misses his family and everybody from the hood knows, it’s a good feeling when a loved one comes home from the joint.  What is up with the malcom X ray bans though?? I don’t like that look on him with the camel side button sweater. It doesn’t seem like his style.

Tiny and T.I. have a solid relationship and a good understanding of each other. Which beggs the question after all the years and the kids, what took so long to tie the knot? He set up a lovely romantic dinner for her and I know it’s safe to say any woman in america would have loved to be across the table from him. T.I. is not my type by any means. I don’t like guys that wear the same size clothes as I do. He’s so small Tiny could share clothes with him! That being said, I wouldn’t mind sharing aNYTHING with him….. at all. However his wife Tiny IS the best match for him. She keeps him balanced and holds down the family very well. Something a lot of women these days cannot do. I like that she has a sexy alter ego “Rider” and apparently, so does Tip.

T.I. is just a boss. I like the way he’s there for his kids. He even blew off BET to show up at his son Domani’s football game. Being a working  parent, it’s easy to let work get in the way of what is truly important. Then again when you’re rich you can call the shots.

Anyway, he seems very genuine on the show and very relaxed. Before the show actually aired, he did an interview on Wendy Williams last monday with Tiny where he seemed very staged and rehearsed. I was thinking if he behaved that way on the show I wasn’t going to watch it at all. But I must admit they reeled me in with their ghetto fabulous charm and bad ass, booty tag playing kids. I am a fan.

Real Housewives of Atlanta: Hot mama and Baby Daddy Drama

Mama Joyce is STILL mad at Kandi.  I like Mama Joyce though because through all Kandi’s open freakiness she has been very supportive and tries to be a friend but in the end, like she said, she is still Mama! And a man sucking himself and swinging his penis over her head is NOT COOL. “I mean that’s some bullsh!”

On the other side of the tracks Bar One opened with no a/c and apparently in the hood. “Jamaican Gangsta” Peter got his duckets in a row and opened with no help from Cynthia. Thank God! Now her family can dry their eyes and stop doubting Peter. At least until next episode.  Peter was depending on Ne-Ne to co-host the grand opening but she showed up late.  Supposedly Charles Grant, a football player for the Falcons, took her out on a date once and that’s why everyone thinks she wasn’t coming. I’m not buying it. I don’t know why she was late but I don’t think any of the explanations given were true. ANYWAY, I do agree with Phaedra! Cynthia loves her some Ne-Ne…. and so does Peter. It’s weird.

Kim should have sat this season out.

If I were Sheree, I would be mad! She clearly hooked up with  Frankenstein just because he was a baller and she thought she hit the jackpot. Instead she got jacked up because as she’s talking about Ne-Ne losing everything she’s the one losing all her stuff.  What happened to “She by Sheree” by the way?

Everybody knows Phaedra is my favorite housewife because she keeps it real and holds no punches. Once again I agree with her when she said Cynthia needed to practice before she got up on stage and opened her mouth. Whaaaaat was that??

Miss Lawrence, the honorary housewife, is once again thee best dressed in the ATL! I love it. What were those earrings with the chain connecting the two? Seriously I need them.
